SixQs Manual

This help section includes basic info to assist you in navigating and using the SixQs Website.

What’s on the Website?

SixQs.com is a Digital Scenarios Network. It’s a website designed to allow users to view, create and share Scenarios. Browsing the website, you’ll notice the following features:

The general main entry page:

The main entry page is the first page you see when entering the website. It is divided into two sections (from top to bottom): Top 10 Scenarios – the most popular Scenarios in the database, and Featured Scenarios – scenarios specially picked by us.

Also – note that you can search the entire website for Scenarios or Activities using the Search text field at the top of the screen.

Scenario, Activity and Resource pages:

Clicking on a Scenario leads the user to the Scenario’s page. Similarly, there are pages for Activities within a Scenario and for Resources within Activities.

Each of these pages generally include a header – in which the name and icon of the Scenario/Activity/Resource are displayed. In a Scenario page the header includes additional info, such as the Scenario Owner, as well as links to the Scenario’s Timeline View, LifePlay, Realization mechanism or Insight reports.

Another feature of the Scenario/Activity/Resource pages is the toolbar on the left-hand side of the screen. This toolbar allows the owner/co-editor to manage the Scenario, Activity or Resource.

User Profile page:

These pages display personal user data. Any user has his own page, which is viewable (but not editable) by other users.

Registering, Signing in and managing personal user accounts

Some Scenarios may be only viewable by registered users. Also, only registered users are able to create their own Scenarios. If you’re a new user, you can register an account (completely for free) by following the Join! link on the top-right corner of the screen.

Registered users should Sign In to access their user profiles.

Once users are signed in – the top-right corner of the screen will include a My Scenarios link, through which they can then access their own profile page and view their Scenarios. Personal profile data can be managed using the left-hand toolbar, in the personal profile page.

Managing Scenarios

Scenarios can be managed either from their Scenario page (using the left-hand toolbar), or in a Timeline View (accessible by clicking “Edit” in the Scenario page – on the top box, above Lifeplay).

Scenario Sharing options

Scenarios are private by default (meaning only you can view and edit them), but can be shared with other users:

From the Timeline View, you can edit the Scenario’s Sharing options and specify specific users (using their email address) who can view or even co-edit the Scenario.

If you want any SixQs user (including random guests) to be able to view your Scenario, you can click World Share in the Scenario pages’ left-hand toolbar.

Another option is to share the Scenario with anyone (even unregistered users) using a direct link. To link your contacts directly to the Scenario’s Timeline View or LifePlay View – use the “Timeline/LifePlay Share” buttons to generate a username-and-password protected link. You’ll then be able to send this link, along with the assigned user name and password, by email to any friend.
